Walk with Pride

We love this time of year! The weather is consistently warm and sunny, colors are vibrant, visible and celebrated, people are friendlier and embracing of new things, experiencing all the festivals and celebrations in our beautiful state and we get to create fun new beauty looks/trends for the next few months.

At Kismet, we take PRIDE in many things: our sense of self, our workmanship, the relationships we cultivate, our gardens, our families and even our sense of defiance. No matter the difficulties or the nay-sayers who try to bring us down and try to silence us, we still stand tall to show them that we are here and we will never change just because someone else thinks we should. We each have built a world that we can call our own and take pride in.

Having instilled her core values of helping those in need, speaking up for those without a voice and just being a respectful human being within her children's upbringing, Heather takes pride in the way they are living their authentic lives. They are filling their lives with joy by creating art, working towards a profession they are proud of and surrounding themselves with others that align with their true selves. She is so proud of their growth and excited to see how they fill their future years.

As a mother, Tisha also takes pride in her child. She is proud that her son see's the beauty in this world and the joy that fills him from that beauty. Knowing that happiness is just an inquisitive glance away, she takes pride in the person that he is developing into. Tisha also takes pride in teaching her son to be fearless, silly and to love himself, environment and his passions unapologetically.

At the beginning of the year, Oliver closed his decade long business, Oliver Beauty Studios. Though it may seem disheartening, he's proud that he was able to look past his ego to focus more of his time and energy to elevate his professional and personal lives by learning new skills and, listening to his mind and body and surrounding himself with energizing people. So far, 2025 has been the least stressful year he's had in the last 10 years and that's something to be proud about.

With her own words, Maybelyn shares what she takes pride in.

"To exist.

To unapologetically take up space in this world.

To build a family, a community

In we advocate for one another

Unconditionally love and care

Beautifying life with kindness

Because my hope

My wish

for this lifetime

Is to leave the world way better before I arrived

So that the future can thrive in it."
