Tess may have been born with hair on the brain. It all started with a Totally Hair Barbie, then many self haircuts (and colors, too), progressing to her trying to cut and color the hair of anyone who would tolerate it. Finally, a genius gave her the best advice, “Why don’t you go to beauty school? You would be really great at it.” So, Tess did and the rest will be history.
Come see Tess if you want an amazing color and cut, with an eye to detail. Tess delights in transformations and loves the challenge of a corrective color ( please, mention when booking), and competently works with all types of hair. She specializes in color and is an expert with redheads and fine/thinning hair (personal experience). She is skilled with styling and updos of all kinds (retro/period styles, too), and would love to help with your special event.
Tess enjoys great conversation and can talk to just about anyone. If conversation isn’t your thing, no worries, Tess will make you feel comfortable. Tess loves an exchange of information and learning is very important to her. She has taken dozens of classes since starting with Aveda in 2006 (French haircutting method in NYC was a fun one), she became a licensed cosmetology instructor in 2011, an Aveda certified color educator in 2014, and achieved her bachelors in business administration in 2015.
