Heather opened Kismet in 2004 after 15 years of setting Seattle's style. Since 1989 she has done it all for fashion and hair. Now a salon owner and mother of two lovely daughters, she can truly appreciate how to balance real life with beauty and fashion. Heather loves playing with her kids, gardening and travel.

Ever wished that your best friend was able to cut, color, and style your hair? The good news is that Val has extra beauty to go around and share with everyone. Val is an expert at precision cuts and she loves adding dimension with foiling techniques.

Kate is an artistic soul. She is a world traveler and has seen many cuts and styles. She is thorough and detail oriented. She has a keen eye for color and proportion. Kate has a profound knowledge of the Aveda product line. Personally, she loves to read and indulge in long soaks in her bathtub.

If your look is the bomb, Amina is the fuse. A graduate from the Gary Manuel Aveda Institute, Amina uses her visual sense and skill to create a vast array of great styles.

What is your specialty/favorite service to do?

I love to create shapes and remove hair, so brows and Brazilians! I also love to help guests t acheive and maintain healthy, beautiful skin through customized facials and skin care recommendations.

What made you become a Massage Therapist and Esthetician?

I became a Massage Therapist because I wanted to help people feel good. I became an Esthetician because I love skin. Its our largest organ system and I get to work with it everyday. How amazing is that?

What is your favorite skin care tip?

Never under moisturize! Even if you have acneic skin, make sure you are putting the appropriate amount of moisturizer on. Having your skin feel tight is not a good thing.

What inpires you?

I am inspired by skin care that has mostly natural ingredients that are extremely effective. I love seeing natural ingredients that work wonders on the skin. I am also inspired by the technology that goes into effective skin care.

What is your favorite Aveda product?

I really love them all, but my favorite has to be the Enbrightenment line. It is Aveda's line for hyper pigmentation that works amazingly well and they really put a lot of technology into the efficacy of this line.

What is your specialty / favorite service to do?

I love providing a client with a brighter, sunnier outlook on life through brighter, sunnier hair! Whether it's a few subtle hightlights or full on blonding, I loe to help clients lighten up.

Kismet Salon and Spa has this amazing, rare balance of being able to provide a high level of service to our clients while maintaining a comfortable, unpretentious attitude.

What is your favorite celebrity hair color?

I never tire of seeing natural color adjusted to perfection, like Giselle Bunchen's sandy dark blonde or Sandra Bullock's rich highlighted brunette.

What is your favorite hair care tip?

Be gentle! Its all to easy to scrub too hard with at towel or rip through tangles without a second thought, but daily handling accounts for most of the wear and tear your hair endures.

What inpires you?

You do! You are the one who wears your hair everyday, so whether you crave versatility or precision, high fashion or low maintenance, its my goal to provide solutions for your unique head of hair.
